My extended family is finally celebrating Christmas today. Its the only day we're all in town. Tomorrow I drive back to school. I had a grade conflict with a professor, and I felt terrible arguing. But he was really nice and changed my grade a bit. Enough to make the difference with my GPA.
I also decided today that I am going to do my internship with Seacoast Grace Church. So I sent an email off to Andrew Poe, one of the pastors. So wish me luck with that. Updates to come.
After being frustrated with my grades, and the fact I still don't have a job, I decided to take it out on food. I made two different cookie bars, and oreo truffles. The good thing about oreo truffles is that you have to pound them into dust. So I got out the mallet and beat the crap out of them. It made me feel so much better! When I finish the icing I'll put up pictures and recipes.Labels: College/Classes

Here are my resolutions, and my plan to accomplish them.- Take at least one photo every day. This will be my photo diary, and will often be posted here. I have already been keeping my camera in my purse for over a month now, so I just have to remember to start snapping.
- Blog. At least three posts a week. I have categories figured out that will eventually all be on the left: Spiritual Journey, Ministry & Career, College & Classes, Fun & Adventures, Art & Photography, Beauty/Health/Food, Movie Reviews, General/Misc.
- Loose 15 pounds. This means a little over a pound a month - which is basically maintaining my weight but loosing a little. With the non-dairy diet going on, I'm actually worried about loosing too much weight. I have a max of twenty pounds I could loose. Anything more and I'm straying into being underweight.
- Run a Mile. This might take a while. I am a big weak right now while my body is still adjusting to the change in diet. And I've gotten super out of shape over the last year while I was sick. I'll have to start slow, but I'll get there.
- Get a Job. Hopefully this will be the first one completed. :) How about this - keep a job the while year!

I've decided to go with my natural brown hair color and I'm getting it done tonight at a local school salon. Wish me luck. Thanks so everyone who gave their opinions - it was overwhelmingly in favor of brown. :)
If you haven't heard (I'm sure you all have), I got tested for allergies and found that it is milk that has been making me so sick all year. I've been dairy free for a week now, and I feel great. So a big part of my blog will be my attempts to make yummy food without dairy. To top that off, I live in a dorm and own minimal supplies. It should be an adventure. :)
So far Silk Chocolate Soy-milk has been my favorite. I can't quite drink the Vanilla Soy-milk yet, but the Chocolate and Soy-nog were both delicious. I have also been eating Coconut-milk frozen dessert, and its been comparable.
I've been eating a lot of eggs, and bread that has very little milk in it. Rice-a-roni has been great. And I wouldn't be surviving without dark chocolate and grand-crackers. Tonight I'm having chili and rice, and I'm going to try to make Chocolate Bran Muffins. More to come on that. :)

I've decided to cut my hair. I have had bangs for a few months now, and I love them. But I want to be a bit more stylish. I have selected a new hairstyle, but I can't decide on a hair color. I could go with my natural light brown. I could go blonde. Or black. Right now my hair is red and faded, but I don't want to go red again. Any opinions?

I got my Dad Settlers of Catan for Christmas, and we've already noticed that the cardboard pieces that make up the game board aren't going to last forever. My mother and I started researching backings for the game pieces, and instead found all of these home-made 3D board pieces. They seemed easy enough to make.
However, I have decided not to make my own 3D Board. At least not in the next week while I'm home. I just don't have time, and we aren't that crazy about the game.
But if you do a google search for "Catan 3D Custom" you can find plenty of people that were crazy enough. My favorites were the pizza and cupcakes board. lol

I am just your average college student. I spent my time on homework, random projects, hopefully soon a job, and hanging out with my friends. I live with a fun roommate who is really creative with lyrics. I have a great boyfriend who likes concerts and movies.
I am involved with my major, and I help plan events. I am working towards graduating in three years. In my free time, I am teaching myself guitar, relearning piano, and I paint with acrylics.
