So... life is just going along normal. I've been working out every morning with Lindsay, and hanging out with Fran and Julia at night. Jade has been working a ton this week, which is great for him. We might go to the beach Saturday. But today after my morning workout (bike ride today... bleh) I checked my mail. And the cookbooks my mom sent me had arrived! Yay!
This Uncheese Cookbook is amazing! It mimics cheese sauces and foods like Mac & Cheese, Pizza, and Cheesecake, with blends of nuts, tofu, spices, and other random things. I am super excited to try all the recipes. The pictures look so delicious. I'll let you know how they are. :)

Last night was amazing! I made Seafood Pasta - normally it would be Seafood Alfredo, but since I am allergic to milk, it's pasta with olive oil instead. And asparagus, garlic bread, and brownies. I was making dinner for by boyfriend, but two of my best friends (one of them is my roommate) joined us. It was just so amazingly nice to just sit around a dinner table and eat real food and just laugh about stuff. Then Jade and I watched Lord of the Rings. It was just a lovely evening all around.
Then this morning Fran came to church with me. She's wonderful - super positive always about everything. So fifteen minutes before we had to leave I popped a batch of chocolate chip muffins into the oven. They were delicious! And it wasn't just that they were fresh out of the oven, because I just had another one and it was just as good. Heres the story...
I used Jiffy Chocolate Muffin Mix - the 99c kind! And mixed it with an egg, and Light Chocolate Silk Soy Milk instead of milk. I also used a bit more water than normal. My muffins looked so much better than the picture of the box. I also added a dash of cinnamon, and pinches of cloves and ginger. MmmmLabels: Beauty/Health/Food

I resumed my never ending quest for free ring tones last night, and for the first time had true success (I think). I found a site called Phone Zoo that lets you upload your own songs and turn them into ring tones for free. They make their money off of advertising. And since my Verizon phone plan includes unlimited picture messages, I figured it was worth a chance. I'll let you know if within the next billing cycle they hit me with fees.
I uploaded two songs, Entertaining Angels by Newsboys, and I Can Feel a Hot One by Manchester Orchestra. I also downloaded the Sleeping Beauty waltz and an Irish river dance song. Oh, and a bell sound for text messages because the normal chime has been annoying me lately. I also made a ring tone of The Boys are Back from High School Musical 3, and sent it to my boyfriend. lolLabels: Technology

| Yeah. So I have discovered another love of my life: Very Vanilla Silk Soy Milk! It is so rich and creamy. It tastes a bit like melted ice cream, but thicker. It has that hint of soy I've learned to love, but mostly this strong vanilla flavor. Its sooo good! | |
So last night was our two month anniversary! Jade took me to TGI Fridays, and we had a really nice dinner. And then we saw Yes Man. I also saw High School Musical Monday night.
Yes Man is pretty funny. Its "laugh most of the movie" funny, but not "laugh so hard you can't breath and start crying" funny. The last movie that made me laugh that hard was Dan in Real Life. The writing is very, very good - very clever. The basic premise is that Carl, a boring bank loan person, gets dragged to a seminar, and ends up making a covenant saying Yes to everything for a year.
The movie doesn't have any huge twists, but it is surprising at times all fits together really, really well. The directing is great too - Jim Carrey's character Carl is nicely developed. The weaker areas of the film are Cinematography which I found bland, and Jim Carrey's acting. Don't get me wrong, he is one of my favorite actors of all time. But I felt like he really sat back and have one of his standard performances, and let the story and the writing be the highlight of the movie. And that's just fine with me.
Also, just so you know, I am very busy with my Spanish 102 class. Its four hours every day, and we've covered all of the present and preterite in four days. And we have our first exam tomorrow!Labels: Beauty/Health/Food, College/Classes, Movie Reviews

My extended family is finally celebrating Christmas today. Its the only day we're all in town. Tomorrow I drive back to school. I had a grade conflict with a professor, and I felt terrible arguing. But he was really nice and changed my grade a bit. Enough to make the difference with my GPA.
I also decided today that I am going to do my internship with Seacoast Grace Church. So I sent an email off to Andrew Poe, one of the pastors. So wish me luck with that. Updates to come.
After being frustrated with my grades, and the fact I still don't have a job, I decided to take it out on food. I made two different cookie bars, and oreo truffles. The good thing about oreo truffles is that you have to pound them into dust. So I got out the mallet and beat the crap out of them. It made me feel so much better! When I finish the icing I'll put up pictures and recipes.Labels: College/Classes

I am just your average college student. I spent my time on homework, random projects, hopefully soon a job, and hanging out with my friends. I live with a fun roommate who is really creative with lyrics. I have a great boyfriend who likes concerts and movies.
I am involved with my major, and I help plan events. I am working towards graduating in three years. In my free time, I am teaching myself guitar, relearning piano, and I paint with acrylics.
